My hunt for great fry ups continues. This time its Ma Bakers Cafe in Prees, Shropshire. A fairly mundane breakfast packed with happy nostalgic memories and a great example of where great food isn’t just about great flavour!

A meal with such consideration for the diner. Memorable, inspirational, aspirational and seriously delicious. I can’t remember the last time I ate so well, where on the surface there was so little, yet absolutely nothing was missing. My perfect meal at Rochelle Canteen

Mighty M’s is situated in a lay-by on the A49 between Shrewsbury & Ludlow, they serve English and Jamaican food. Proper hospitality, proper flavours from real people cooking with love. It’s a flavour packed experience, redefining lay-by food. This is how I got on!

I fear the proper pub lunch is fading away. Lost and on it’s way to becoming folklore. There is a shining light though. The Tally Ho In Bouldon! Proper Pub Lunch! Wizards vs Dark Forces vs Sally Gunnell…..this is what I found when I went for lunch!

Hot off the heels of a visit to Novello Lounge in Telford (2 months ago) we headed to one of it’s cousins, Floro Lounge in Shrewsbury for some breakfast……..

I’m roaming around Shrewsbury searching for the perfect breakfast! Proper caffs, not cafes! Churchill’s Cafe in Shrewsbury is incredible value and just about ticks all the right boxes for a proper old school breakfast close to the centre of town!

My first visit to any of these ‘lounges’………heard amazing things about the coffee, let’s find out what this Telford branch has to offer!
